You are about to find out that my art knowledge is atrocious. This painting / picture was found in a relative's loft and all I can do is describe it in (very!) simple terms and hope at least one of us knows what we are doing. (Hint - it won't be me.)
So - easy bit first. Size is 17.5 inches by 13.5 inches.
Texture - rough and smooth and brush strokes can be seen when held to the light. This makes me think it might be an oil painting but don't take my word for it.
No glass frontage to frame.
Artist's name in bottom right hand corner looked to me like J P Brown but handwritten note on reverse suggests John Randall Brown.
Please have a good look at the photos and ask if you have any (simple) questions.
